What 57,000+ browser games reveal about the market

Headline findings

Browser games are not a small niche catalog. This snapshot contains 57,648 playable titles, but scale alone is not a useful quality signal. Glaze Games currently considers 30,781 pages suitable for search indexing: the curated catalog plus long-tail games with substantial, unique source copy. The rest remain playable and discoverable inside the site without consuming search-engine crawl budget.

Release dates are available for 24,843 games (43.1%), while provider update dates exist for 13,104 (22.7%). 15,183 titles are explicitly portrait-oriented and only 1 are marked desktop-only.

Methodology and limitations

The dataset combines licensed metadata from multiple browser-game distribution partners and Glaze Games' directly curated titles. Records are normalized by title and slug, obvious duplicates are merged, blocked or removed embeds are excluded, and categories are mapped to one shared taxonomy. Search eligibility is deliberately stricter than catalog inclusion: a page must be part of the curated catalog or have at least 300 characters of unique, non-synthetic provider description alongside a valid category, image, and embed.

Provider metadata is not uniform. Play counts and ratings are therefore not compared across the full dataset, and category membership should be read as an editorial classification rather than a scientific genre standard. Figures update daily as partner catalogs change. Last generated: 2026-07-13.
