Headline findings
Browser games are not a small niche catalog. This snapshot contains 48,411 playable titles, but scale alone is not a useful quality signal. Glaze Games currently considers 188 pages suitable for search indexing: the curated catalog plus long-tail games with substantial, unique source copy. Other available titles remain discoverable inside the site, but their pages ask search engines not to include them in results. A noindex instruction does not prevent crawling.
Release dates are available for 13,939 games (28.8%), while provider update dates exist for 13,927 (28.8%). 13,405 titles are explicitly portrait-oriented and only 4 are marked desktop-only.
Largest game categories
Games can belong to more than one category, so these counts overlap. Category mapping is normalized across providers rather than copied from one marketplace taxonomy.
Download all 35 category counts (CSV) to compare the data or use it in your own analysis. The export includes its generation date, catalog total, category counts, percentage shares, and source URL. Categories overlap; this is a catalog snapshot, not a measure of players or market share.
Methodology and limitations
The dataset combines licensed metadata from multiple browser-game distribution partners and Glaze Games' directly curated titles. Records are normalized by title and slug, obvious duplicates are merged, blocked or removed embeds are excluded, and categories are mapped to one shared taxonomy. Search eligibility is deliberately stricter than catalog inclusion: a page must pass the curated selection checks or have at least 1,000 characters of non-synthetic provider description, a unique title and description within the evaluated catalog, a readable slug, a category, two tags, an image, an embed, and developer or date metadata. This checks uniqueness within our catalog; provider text may also appear on other websites.
Provider metadata is not uniform. Play counts and ratings are therefore not compared across the full dataset, and category membership should be read as an editorial classification rather than a scientific genre standard. Figures update daily as partner catalogs change. Last generated: .
