Glaze Games
Privacy Center

Your privacy, plainly.

The short version: we collect as little as we can to make the site work, we don't sell your data, and you're in charge.

Help improve Glaze Games

Optional analytics helps us understand which games and features work well. With your permission, we send usage events and device information to PostHog and Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity records your sessions on the website (replays and heatmaps) with everything you type masked, and Ahrefs Web Analytics counts your visits without cookies. If you sign in, we link PostHog activity to your account ID. We do not send chat messages, passwords, or email addresses.

This choice applies to this browser or app and does not change which ads you see. If you have also answered the age screen and are not a child (and, in the EU, UK and Switzerland, agreed in the privacy choices), it lets Paramount and Taboola count visits that came from our own ad campaigns. You can play with analytics off.

With this off, we still count visits anonymously in PostHog cookieless mode: pages viewed, the referring site, country, device and browser type, and game, search and category counts. Nothing is stored in your browser for this, no identifier is kept, nothing is linked to your account, and nothing is recorded.

Your age

Your answer to the birth-year question helps keep Glaze Games right for your age. It is stored only on this device, and only as an age group, never your birth year.

Anonymous counts for everyone who has not opted in

To know how many people use Glaze Games and which games and features work, we count use anonymously with our analytics provider PostHog, including for visitors and players who have not turned on optional analytics or who said no. These anonymous counts never use cookies or advertising IDs, keep no identifier on your device, create no profile, are never linked to an account, never include recordings, and are not used for advertising or marketing. They are only looked at as totals.

  • Website (including the Windows app, the installed web app and the Discord Activity): PostHog’s cookieless mode sends page views (page address without query strings), the referring page (also without query strings), device, operating system and browser type, screen size, browser language and time zone, and counts of games started and finished, games and categories clicked, and searches (number of characters and results, never the search text), and whether the page was used (a tap, click, key press or scroll) or stayed on screen for 10 seconds. To keep automated traffic out of these counts, each event also carries a yes/no flag and short codes for signs of automated software found in your browser or in the request headers (for example, no browser language). Pages are counted only once they have actually been shown on screen. Nothing is stored in your browser for this. To tell visitors apart within one day, PostHog computes a one-way hash of your IP address, browser user agent and a random value it replaces every day and then deletes, so a visitor cannot be recognised on a later day. Location is recorded at country level only, from our network provider.
  • iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android apps (versions released after 30 October 2026): counts of app opens, games started and games finished, with the platform, app version, the device’s language and region setting, and the country our server derives from the request. Each event carries a new random ID, so two events cannot be linked to each other or to a device. No device ID, install ID, advertising ID or account ID is sent.
  • Browser extension (version 5.0.14 and later): counts of new-tab opens and game launches, with the extension version, the browser language, the store it came from, and the country our server derives from the request. There is no install ID and no game ID.

App and extension counts go to glazegames.com first, and our server forwards them to PostHog without your IP address. Website requests to PostHog also pass through glazegames.com; we forward the IP address only so PostHog can apply the daily hash described above, and we do not log it. Turning on optional analytics replaces this anonymous counting with the detailed analytics described in the preferences above.

Anonymous traffic totals

We count received page views, app opens, and game launches to understand overall use and whether each Glaze Games client is working. These first-party counters contain only the client platform, software release, activity type, and a total for a five-minute period. They do not use cookies or visitor identifiers and do not include account IDs, IP addresses, page paths, searches, or browsing histories. They cannot identify you or follow you across devices. Network infrastructure still processes requests to deliver the service and prevent abuse.

Anonymous source and return counters

To learn which links and communities bring players and whether they come back, the website keeps the first source label it saw (for example the ref value of a link you opened) in your browser's local storage, plus a random identifier where storing one is allowed: when you accept analytics, or when our consent platform reports that you agreed to device storage or that GDPR does not apply. Without that permission each visit uses a throwaway identifier that is never stored. It is sent only to Glaze Games, stored on our servers as a salted hash together with the source label, client type and the days you were active, and is never shared with advertising or analytics partners or linked to your account, IP address, or browsing history. Invite links you share carry a code tied to your account so we can credit you coins when a friend plays; the friend's identifier is not linked to that account. We skip this entirely when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, and you can reset it by clearing site data.

Detailed, individual PostHog activity remains optional and uses the analytics choice above. The anonymous counts and totals described here are separate from those individual records. Older app versions may not yet provide these counters.

The 60-second version

You can play any game on Glaze Games without an account. We collect basic analytics (page views, device type, country) and serve contextual ads. We don’t sell personal data. You can clear cookies or use the cookie settings page to opt out of targeted advertising.

What we collect

Without an account

  • Page views, referrer, and approximate location: country only for anonymous counts, or city-level from your IP address if you turn on optional analytics.
  • Device type, operating system, and browser version.
  • Game session events (start, end, time played).
  • Cookies set by us and our advertising partners (see the full list on the cookie settings page).

With an account

  • Email address (for sign-in).
  • Display name and avatar, if you set one.
  • Saved games, favorites, and scores.
  • The same analytics as above, tied to your account ID.

How we use it

To run the site, recommend games, prevent abuse, run ads (mostly contextual), and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers we need to operate (Hetzner for hosting, Cloudflare, PostHog for analytics, Clerk for sign-in, Stripe for payments, and ad partners) and only for the purposes above.

Only if you turn on optional analytics

If you are 16 or older and turn on optional analytics, the website also loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity (session recordings and heatmaps with everything you type hidden, paused on account, admin and approval pages) and Ahrefs Web Analytics (no cookies), next to detailed PostHog analytics. If you have not chosen, or chose “Not now”, none of these scripts is loaded and none of these companies receives anything from your visit. They are also never loaded when your age-screen answer shows you are a child. Turning analytics off stops them and deletes the cookies they set on glazegames.com.

Advertising partners

We work with third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, Online Media Solutions (OMS), InMobi and LoopMe on the website (AdsGram inside the Telegram Mini App), PlayaYield inside the Glaze Games Chrome extension, and Unity LevelPlay and its mediated partners in the mobile apps, to show ads and measure performance. Those partners may receive limited technical information such as IP address, device type, browser type, and interaction data so they can deliver and measure advertising. Some website ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. To learn more about third-party advertising choices and opt out, visit YourAdChoices. Until you answer the age screen, and whenever your answer shows you are a child, website ads are requested as child-directed and non-personalized, and bidders get no cookie syncs.

To learn which of our own ad campaigns bring visitors, the website can send a visit to Paramount Ads Manager and Taboola. Taboola stores an advertising ID in your browser, so both run only if you turned on optional analytics, your age-screen answer shows you are not a child, and, in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland, you agreed to Taboola and to advertising purposes in our consent platform (InMobi Choice). Otherwise neither is loaded. Games are served by their providers (such as GameDistribution, GameMonetize, GamePix and Playgama) in frames from their own sites and can show their own ads and set their own cookies while you play. The full list of third parties is on the cookie settings page. For more information about extension ads, see PlayaYield's Privacy Policy.

Glaze Games browser extension

Without your opt-in, the extension sends only the anonymous counts described under Anonymous counts. Detailed PostHog analytics starts only after you allow analytics and confirm you are 16 or older, either on the new-tab prompt or in the extension’s privacy settings. Those events include extension installs and updates, new-tab and popup opens, the games you launch or favorite, search counts (not search text), and error messages with web addresses removed, together with the extension version. They are linked by a random install ID that is deleted when you turn analytics off, and are sent through glazegames.com. Separately, the extension sends anonymous totals (activity type, version and platform only, with no identifier) to count opens and game launches.

Glaze Games for iPhone and iPad

Without your opt-in, newer app versions send only the anonymous counts described under Anonymous counts. Detailed PostHog analytics runs only after you enable the Optional analytics setting. Those usage events include app opens, game launches, favorites, and errors, together with app version and device information. If you sign in, the events can be linked to your account ID across Glaze Games clients. Turn the setting off to go back to anonymous counts only. The Mac, Android, and browser extension versions provide their own analytics choices; website consent does not enable them.

The iOS app stores favorites, recently played games, and games you choose to hide on your device. If you create an optional account, our authentication provider Clerk processes your email address, account identifier, and profile details to provide sign-in and account management.

The Android and iOS apps use Unity LevelPlay mediation with Meta Audience Network, Liftoff Monetize, Unity Ads, InMobi, and BIGO Ads. The iOS app requests Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission before enabling native ad SDK traffic. InMobi Choice supplies regional privacy choices separately from the website CMP; users can reopen those choices from the app’s Privacy page.

Games run inside isolated, non-persistent in-app web views. The iOS app blocks web cookies and common tracking endpoints, then discards each game’s website data when the player closes it. A provider still receives the network request needed to deliver the selected game, but the app does not retain game cookies or use that request for tracking. Every game page includes a Report action; you can also hide a game from your catalog on that device.

  • DeletionAsk us to delete your account and all associated data.

Children

Glaze Games is general-audience and curated for safety. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (US) or 16 (EU/UK) without parental consent. Optional analytics is only offered to people who confirm they are 16 or older; everyone else is counted only through the anonymous counts above, which store nothing on the device, keep no persistent identifier, build no profile and are never used for advertising. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Ahrefs, Paramount and Taboola never run for visitors whose age-screen answer shows a child, and until a visitor answers the age screen every website ad is requested as child-directed and non-personalized. Parents can request data help or report safety concerns at hello@glazegames.com.
