How to play 2048
Slide numbered tiles around a four by four grid, merging equal pairs until you build a single tile worth 2048.
- 1Press Play. The grid starts with two small tiles, usually 2s and 4s.
- 2Press an arrow key (or swipe on a touchscreen) to slide every tile on the board in that direction.
- 3When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one tile with double the value.
- 4After each move, a new tile appears in a random empty cell.
