About the game

About Nine to Wonderland

Nine to Wonderland is a turn-based card duel with RPG progression, played with a standard deck. Every card has a job. Number cards deal damage or restore health, and face cards burn mana out of your opponent's pool. You can play cards one at a time or group them into poker-style combinations such as a pair, a flush, or a run, and larger hands hit harder. Jokers slot automatically into your strongest combination. Mana ties it together: small cards produce the most of it, and you spend it on Blade to boost a strike, Shield to absorb one, or Swap to exchange up to three cards.

Heroes add a second layer. Each hero is a card you own, with trump suits, a favorite poker hand, and one ultimate ability charged by the cards you play, such as Strike, Poison, Mend, Bloom, Cleanse, Shackles, or Thorns. Collecting duplicates raises a hero's stars and gives you more starting mana. Quick matches against the computer suit a short browser break, while Adventures offer chapters laid out as board-game mazes with fights, chests, traps, mini-games, and a boss at the end. The flexible layout works on desktop and mobile.

There is also an endless Gauntlet, a local mode where two players pass one device, online matches against real opponents, and a daily challenge in which both sides get the same freshly rolled set with no gear. It suits players who like card battlers, poker hand strategy, and turn-based RPG duels. Anyone who enjoys weighing a strong play now against a stronger one later will get the most out of it. The daily challenge is a good place to test your skill fairly, since both sides start with the same set and there is no gear to tip the balance.

How to play Nine to Wonderland

Duel a rival with a standard deck of cards, where number cards hit or heal, face cards drain mana, and poker hands like pairs, runs, and flushes land harder.

  1. 1Pick a mode: a quick match against the computer, a local duel by passing the device, an online opponent, Adventures, the Gauntlet, or the daily challenge.
  2. 2Play number cards to strike your opponent or heal yourself, and face cards to burn mana from their pool.
  3. 3Combine cards into a pair, a flush, or a run for a bigger effect; jokers fit themselves into your strongest combination.
  4. 4Spend mana on Blade to strengthen a strike, Shield to absorb one, or Swap to trade up to three cards from your hand.
  5. 5Charge your hero's ULT by playing cards, then use it at the right moment.

Tips and strategy

  • Do not throw away small cards carelessly. They generate the most mana, which funds your bigger turns.
  • Learn your hero's trump suits and favorite poker hand, and build toward them.
  • Face cards are your answer to an opponent saving up mana for a big play.
  • Keep Swap in mind when your hand has no combinations; trading three cards can turn a weak hand into a strong one.
  • Collect duplicate heroes to star them up, since higher-star heroes open each duel with more mana.
