About Barricade Z
Barricade Z is a merge tower defense game by the independent studio Polar Games. Zombies walk toward your barricade in waves, and you hold them off with turrets bought from the coins each defense earns. The twist is the workshop: drop two turrets of the same level onto each other and they combine into the next level, so scrap guns grow into miniguns, rockets and energy weapons across 12 tower levels. Only five defense positions are active at once, with ten workshop spaces for building and merging behind them, so every round is a small puzzle about what to fight with and what to keep upgrading.
The campaign runs 30 waves across three environments, with different zombie types and three bosses, including the Demolisher. When a wave starts to break through you can aim a grenade or trigger overdrive for a burst of firepower, and you can repair the barricade and speed the game up between waves. After the campaign there is an endless mode and a daily challenge. Progress saves in your browser, and the layout works in landscape or portrait.
