IDLE Warrior Tales is an auto-battle fantasy RPG where your job is to build the party, not fight each swing. You hire heroes, equip them, and send them against monsters. In battle the heroes use their own judgment, deciding for themselves whether to heal an ally or put a curse on an enemy. Your big decisions come when a hero levels up and you pick the next skill, choosing between options like stronger healing and a bigger attack, based on the enemies you face. Those choices are where the strategy lives. A party built only for damage can crumble against a boss, and one built only for healing can take too long to clear a large horde, so reading the next fight and adjusting skills is the main skill the game asks of you.

The idle format is a natural fit for a browser tab. Everything is done through on-screen buttons with a click, so there is nothing to memorize, and you do not need to watch every fight. You can check in, upgrade gear at the forge, make a skill choice, and leave the party to work. Sessions can be a couple of minutes or much longer, and the goal of reaching the end-game for an epic reward gives the grind a direction.
