About Gridspark
Gridspark is a block puzzle by Polar Games. Each turn you get pieces to place on an 8x8 board, and the only question is where they fit. Fill a complete row or column and it clears, freeing space and adding to your score. The challenge is keeping enough open room for whatever shape comes next, because the round ends when nothing fits.
What sets it apart is ZAP. Clearing lines collects sparks, and once ZAP is charged you can release it to blast a whole cross out of the board in one move, a lifeline when the board is nearly full. Play for a personal high score, take the daily challenge, or post your score to the online leaderboard with an optional nickname, with no account needed. It is written in plain JavaScript without a game engine, so it loads quickly, and it is translated into 14 languages.
